How much is the car market really worth? Exclusively at the Automobile Capital on 13 June in Rome will be presented the customary research Car Market at Value supported by Q8, Texa and Dataforce. The event, now in its 70th edition, will be an opportunity to take stock of critical fleet issues, starting with the new taxation of the company car as a fringe benefit that is impacting company car choices and car policies. Exclusive research by AgitaLab will tell what the drivers targeted by the tax levy plan to do. One hypothesis is to shift to plug-in cars. However, many who had made this choice in previous years were now in the process of reverting to the unplugged combustion engine. The reason: they were spending a lot more on both the price of the car and the excessive consumption caused by the weight of the batteries. Moreover, it is no mystery that plug-in cars are giving more than a few unwelcome surprises to renters on the residual value front, due to their rapid obsolescence: does knowing that their presence in fleets will grow make them sleep more or less peacefully? Last but not least, we will see how real the return to own cars with mileage reimbursement is.
