Designed by Hyundai's European design team, Insteroid is a concept car in its own right. Its name combines that of the car from which it is derived, the Inster electric SUV, with the explosive charge of Steroid. Its mission is to break the mould, ignite creativity, but also redefine the concept of sportiness in the electric field. More generally, it is designed to inspire as well as generate enthusiasm by engaging people in new levels of both form and sound.
A concept inspired by the world of gaming
Insteroid takes Inster to a new level with video game-inspired elements and aesthetics. Characteristic elements of the concept include incredible width, wheels that look like they were designed for the racetrack, an incredibly large rear wing spoiler, and a diffuser in the wheel arches that improve aerodynamics. On the inside, the cockpit is essential with shell seats and a steering wheel for an immersive driving experience.
Every element is fully customisable.
The abtacle can produce a unique sound signature of your choice, while the Drift mode captures the thrill of competition with the fun that comes with it. Other details such as the integrated sound system and the Messagge Grid further enhance driver involvement. The Boost icon featured in several aspects of the design reinforces the emotional bond between the car and the driver. To optimise performance and reduce weight, lighter grid structures have been integrated.
