Hyundai presents the Three concept, the first step into the compact EV segment

Hyundai is present at the IAA Mobility in Munich, which runs until 14 September, with Three, the first electric and compact concept car to be born under the Ioniq category brand. The German show is also an opportunity to display the entire electric range and illustrate the electrification strategy for Europe.

Concept Three, between style and innovation

The debut of Concept Three anticipates the next step in Hyundai's electrification journey, paving the way for a new EV segment that strategically and competitively responds to the growing European market demand for compact electric vehicles.

Moreover, in Hyundai's vision, Concept Three will define the character of its next chapter of styling innovation, helping to reinforce the company's leading role in the global electrification journey.

The main design features of Concept Three can be found in the Art of Steel design language, which transforms the strength and flexibility of steel into a language of sculptural beauty, inspired by Hyundai's advanced steel technology. But also, the Aero Hatch profile, which features aerodynamic efficiency and a distinctive roofline combined with a vertical tailgate. Hyundai's typical EV light signature is present at both the front and rear adding an expressive touch that matches the lemon-coloured windows and matching wheels.

Finally, the interior, where Hyundai's engineers chose sustainable materials with a predominance of yellow and grey tones and customised widgets.

Hyundai unveils electrification plans for Europe

The IAA Mobility 2025 is also an opportunity for Hyundai to unveil plans for the future in Europe, an area considered key in the electric vehicle era.

By 2027, Hyundai expects that every model offered in Europe will be available with at least one electrified version, while globally, the company will launch 21 EVs by 2030 to meet different mobility needs.

Green light for the continued development of hydrogen fuel cell technology as a clean energy solution for future mobility.

Finally, Hyundai's European production facilities are moving towards the exclusive use of renewable energy, while increasing the integration of recycled and sustainable materials in vehicle design.
