Digitisation represents one of the factors of employment growth, both in terms of the skills required by many workers and as a distinctive element of specialised professional figures. According to Unioncamere forecasts, in the five-year period 2022-2026 the technological trend and the post-pandemic digital acceleration will lead to an estimated demand for personnel with basic digital skills of between 2.1 and 2.3 million employees and for figures with advanced digital skills of between 875,000 and 960,000. Also confirming the urgency of the market's demands are Deloitte data (2024): 67% of companies have already increased their investments in GenAI and 25% plan to adopt AI agents in 2025; a percentage set to double by 2027 .
In this scenario, the Master School of the Politecnico di Torino announces the opening of enrolment for the first edition of the Executive Master in Artificial Intelligence and Managerial Choices: innovations and strategies for digital transformation, designed in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting. The course is aimed at managers, professionals and recent graduates who want to work at national and international level in companies of different sizes and in all sectors, governing complex decision-making processes through the adoption of digital technologies and artificial intelligence solutions.

Strategic necessity

.

"Developing the potential of Artificial Intelligence in good time is now a strategic necessity for companies that want to remain competitive in the medium term. The digital transition requires new skills, critical capabilities and a conscious approach to the use of increasingly pervasive technologies. This Executive Master stems from the need to provide the necessary skills to translate technological complexity into solutions of value for business, to know AI solutions to analyse and optimise business processes and thus be able to play an active role in managing innovation and sustainability of production and decision-making processes,' states Emilio Paolucci, Coordinator of the Master and Full Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Politecnico di Torino.
'The Master's course is distinguished by a didactic framework jointly designed by academics and professionals that responds with a concrete approach to the real challenges of the market. In addition to lectures and specialised modules, participants will be involved in project work developed together with Deloitte, which will enable them to apply the knowledge acquired to real business cases, fostering experiential learning and interaction with industry experts. Understanding strategies, technologies, risk management and developing the necessary soft skills are the objectives of this innovative curriculum,' adds Elisabetta Raguseo, Master Coordinator and Associate Professor of Strategy and Management at Politecnico di Torino.

IA and Management: the Master integrating strategy and innovation

Designed for those who want to understand and manage the impact of AI in corporate decision-making processes, the Executive Master's is a part-time training course aimed at figures who operate or aspire to operate in technology-intensive contexts, providing tools to read the evolution of the digital landscape and to guide organisational change. Training objectives include: developing the managerial skills needed to manage digital transition processes; understanding frontier technologies; interpreting data to support informed decisions; implementing AI solutions from a strategic perspective. The master is characterised by a practical approach, based on learning by doing, which combines lectures with project work, networking opportunities and mentoring sessions with senior figures, experts in digital transformation.

From AI governance to deep learning: an interdisciplinary programme

The Master covers a comprehensive range of topics from AI governance to more technical contents such as machine learning, deep learning, advanced language models and intelligent decision support systems. Special attention is devoted to the use of AI in core business processes, with a focus on marketing, operations, HR, finance and innovation, the opportunities of generative AI and the change management that this technology entails. The final project work - for which several practical cases will be proposed for development, such as the design and implementation of traditional and generative AI intelligent agents to perform operational tasks - is designed in collaboration with Deloitte. The simulation of a real case to work on, divided into teams and in search of innovative solutions, represents a unique opportunity for direct confrontation with the professional world and concrete application of the topics addressed, acquiring skills through direct experience immediately spendable in the company.
Registration for the Executive Master is open until 2 p.m. on 19 May 2025. More information on enrolment requirements, call modalities and deadlines are available on the official website of the Politecnico di Torino.
