Lotteries, Igt becomes Brightstar Lottery

International Game Technology Plc (listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the name Igt) has announced that its global lottery business unit will begin operating under the name Brightstar Lottery with immediate effect.

As a result of the sale of IGT's Gaming and Digital business, scheduled to take effect on 1 July 2025, to Voyager Parent, Llc - a holding company owned by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. (listed on Wall Street), Brightstar will become a fully-focused lottery business with the objective of developing it.

Brightstar offers its services to approximately 90 lottery customers and their players on six continents. It is the primary technology provider for 26 of the 46 jurisdictions that operate lotteries in the United States and 7 of the 10 largest lotteries in the world.

The Company's name will remain International Game Technology Plc until the formal change of name to 'Brightstar Lottery Plc' is registered with the UK Companies Registry, which is expected once the sale of Igt Gaming to Voyager Parent, Llc is completed and Voyager's acquisition of Everi Holdings Inc. (also on Wall Street) is completed. After the completion of the transaction, Igt's ordinary shares will still be listed in New York under the new share symbol, BRSL, and the Company's CUSIP code will remain unchanged. The commencement of trading on the stock exchange under the new Brightstar Lottery name and new share symbol is expected on or about 2 July 2025. Existing shareholders do not have to do anything in connection with the name or share symbol change. It is expected that the buyer and Everi will continue to use the names 'Igt' and 'International Game Technology'.
