The Pope: new technologies make it more difficult to assess students
Words spoken in the audience to a delegation of Catholic colleges and universities
"Recent technological advances also pose numerous challenges to the world of education. The widespread use of artificial intelligence makes it increasingly difficult to evaluate the work of students, forcing educators to adapt their methods creatively to ensure the integral human formation of those entrusted to their care, even when this often entails a greater workload for teachers". The Pope said this in his audience to a delegation of Catholic colleges and universities.
"Invest generously in education"
"In this sense, we must be willing to invest generously in the education of future generations. It is crucial that young people learn to interact positively with new technologies, while developing their innate capacities for reasoning, critical thinking and memorisation, thus preparing them to responsibly shape the world to come," Leo XIV added.
