"Space, light, order. These are the things that men need, as much as bread and a place to sleep'. These are the most famous and quoted words of Le Corbusier, the visionary architect and designer. The 2025 edition of the Salone del Mobile seems to meet these three requirements, which revolve around the theme Thought for Humans. And space, light, order are also the protagonists of the April issue of HTSI, which hits newsstands in the special Superior Interiors edition.

Space: declined in its functional and aesthetic dimension, it is the object of reflection for interior architects, designers, but also experts in cognitive neuropsychology who study the relationship with the environment and what factors make us feel good, at ease, in certain places and agitated or impatient in others.

Light: an in-depth look at new intelligent materials that light up lamps, installations and furniture thanks to plant organisms that produce electricity through photosynthesis, natural woods with integrated LED technology, mycelia, between sustainability and innovation.

Order: it is a widespread need, in increasingly uncertain times, and has a creative, not just taxonomic, relevance. HTSI's journey into the places where the memory of objects is preserved and where archives tell the story of the historical heritage of the great Made in Italy companies continues. Drawings, prototypes, projects and historical pieces by the great masters.

There are many protagonists in this issue, offering an overview of the world of international furniture and architecture: from India, with three interpreters of collectible design - Gunjan Gupta, Ashiesh Shah, Rooshad Shroff - to Singapore, told by the voices of entrepreneurs Christina Ong and Andrew Dixon, architect Richard Hassell and designer Hans Tan; from Scandinavia and one of the most ambitious and extravagant museum buildings, with the guidance of the powerful finance manager Nicolai Tangen, to the United States of the interior decorator couples Todd Nickey and Amy Kehoe, Louisa Pierce and Emily Ward, Alexandra Pappas and Tatyana Miron. And again: from Fabrizio Ferri's New York house to Martin Brûlé's Paris house.

Among HTSI's regular appointments, the pages dedicated to sustainability host an in-depth look at upholstered furniture and the 'circular tool', the indicator that assesses how much a piece can be repaired, reused and recycled. A point on the progress made by the main companies in the sector to minimise polyurethane and to make sofas and armchairs disassemblable with a view to a circular economy. Davide Dattoli's Future in the Present column takes a closer look at design "from spoon to city" with the support of artificial intelligence. Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo's Art Journeys is a dialogue with Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama who defends the right to beauty as a primary good for his country, on a par with justice, healthcare and access to water.

HTSI Superior Interiors will be on newsstands on 11 April, but distributed in the main Fuorisalone districts and at the Milan Furniture Fair, from 7 April. On the occasion of the release, the Sole24Ore monthly magazine's platform will expand: alongside videos, showcases, books, podcasts, events and masterclasses, it will also inaugurate a weekly newsletter with the latest news and the best of the high-end market, from fashion to design, from watchmaking to jewellery, from travel to gastronomy, from the art market to leisure pleasures.
