A joint initiative on road safety, involving the launch of a task force and the stepping up of monitoring and enforcement activities on the most dangerous stretches of road. This was the outcome of the meeting at the MIT between Minister Matteo Salvini, the Minister for the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, and the Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara. During the meeting, a statement explains, “there was agreement on the need to strengthen coordinated action between the three ministries, aimed at promoting awareness-raising initiatives on an issue that requires greater attention and collective awareness”.
Work will continue in the coming days at the Ministry of the Interior, where a National Committee for Public Order and Safety will be convened – with the participation of the three ministers – dedicated to strengthening safety monitoring and inspection activities, with particular reference to the sections of road most prone to accidents.
