A team of experts who have managed hundreds of rescue operations around the world since 1983 have located - but not yet recovered - the bodies of the four Italians in the third segment of the Alimathà cave. Complex and often risky actions like the one in June 2018, when 12 very young footballers were stranded due to an improvised flood in the cave of Tham Luang.
The group was rescued after 18 days thanks to an exceptional international operation in which Dan Europe, a medical and security foundation as well as diver's insurance, based in Roseto degli Abruzzi, Italy, was part of;
A team of experienced tech divers and cave divers, consisting of Finns, will intervene from Monday, 18 May 2026 in the caves of Alimathà in an attempt to idetect the bodies of the four Italians still missing.
For over forty years, the Dan Europe has been offering medical care and scientific research, but also organises safety initiatives promoting conscious diving practices and environmental responsibility.
Diving Safety' activities on a global level: the team records and manages thousands of cases each year, in the range of 1.600-1,800 incidents per year.
