Marriott International lands in Olbia with Delta Hotels By Marriot Olbia Sardinia. The hotel brand sets its sights on the Gallura city. The Delta Hotels by Marriott Olbia Sardinia has 124 rooms, including eight suites, a presidential suite and four new ones, each equipped with a whirlpool bath and sauna. Elite members of Marriott Bonvoy will enjoy exclusive access to the Delta Pantry located on the eighth floor.
Open 24 hours a day, it will offer a comfortable lounge space where guests can enjoy a continental breakfast or relax with a selection of snacks and premium beverages throughout the day. The hotel's reception area has been redesigned with two new business areas. The Tilibbas restaurant will offer full service with regional specialities and Italian classics. Finally, three meeting rooms for corporate events will also offer a 'business' experience. Guests will be able to take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre.
Delta Hotels by Marriott in Olbia introduces a new hotel concept starting with a reinterpretation of the interior design, linked to the philosophy of a comfortable, almost homely stay in a familiar environment," they continue, "a place where business travellers can feel at home. Fabrics, metals, the sea, sand and earth: these are the key elements and colours that inspired the architects in charge of redesigning the hotel's common areas. A new look will also be given to the reception, restaurant, bar and lounge, which will have a different, warmer and more welcoming aesthetic than before.
For Paolo Manca, the regional president of Federalberghi, this is a "great novelty for the area, in Italy until a few years ago only 12% of hotels, out of over 33 thousand, belonged to chains; today we are close to 30%, thanks to that virtuous mechanism that today we are celebrating with this opening and rebranding of an important structure for the city and the entire territory, with large international groups that give Sardinia visibility".
On the horizon, as Maurizio De Pascale, owner with Proma Srl, emphasises, the commitment is "so that this hotel does not represent a cathedral in the desert, but that it is the symbol of an important tourist development in a regional perspective. For our part, together with the municipality of Olbia, we will contribute to improving the infrastructure in order to revive this area, in line with the development that guarantees a major international brand".
