An elegant made-in-Italy touch to push the innovation line further in the rainbow of aquatic disciplines.
Myrtha Pools, the international brand of Piscine Castiglione, a company based in Castigione delle Stiviere with a turnover of more than 130 million in 2024, 360 employees and 12 branches worldwide, was in fact a protagonist at the World Swimming Championships in Singapore.
The Italian company, an industry leader, supplied two 50-metre pools installed in the new World Aquatics Championships Arena, located next to the National Stadium, for the Asian competition. Two pools, three metres deep, one for the swimming competitions (which began last 27 July) and artistic swimming (held at the end of July) and the other to host the athletes' warm-up.
A Global Partner of World Aquatics since 2009, on the occasion of the World Championships in Rome, Myrtha Pools has, however, been present on the world scene for over 60 years and has been increasingly appreciated by organisers and athletes alike for the sporting performance guaranteed by the technical characteristics of the facilities developed over time.
To date, 179 world records have been set in Myrtha pools. The last one in chronological order was set on 30 July by French star Leon Marchand, who had already won four individual gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics (also in a Myrtha pool). In the Singapore pool, he cancelled Ryan Lochte's record in the 200 medley, which he won with a time of 1.52.69, after 14 years.
