Europe's tallest skyscraper will be ready in three years in Benidorm
The TM Tower will reach a height of 230 metres and 64 storeys, with a total of 260 dwellings. Delivery is planned by the end of 2028
The skyscraper that promises to be the tallest in Europe will not be in Madrid or Barcelona, but in Benidorm, with its five kilometres of uninterrupted beach on the Costa Blanca, halfway between Valencia and Alicante. The official announcement of a project that has been talked about for years came from the Spanish developer TM.
The TM Tower will be 230 metres high and 64 storeys high, with a total of 260 one-, two- and four-bedroom dwellings. In addition to the 260 residential units, the TM Tower will offer more than 10,000 square metres of communal areas - including heated swimming pools, a gymnasium, a cinema, sports areas and a skybar on the 63rd floor with an astronomical observatory, developed together with the Jesús Carnicer Science Museum.
Delivery is scheduled by the end of 2028, but marketing has already begun (so much so that 25 per cent of the homes have reportedly already been optioned). While prices (which had not been announced so far) - TM confirms - start from 530,000 euro, up to the most exclusive units reaching as much as 3.4 million. In all, for the holding company, a 140 million euro investment.
"Over the last ten years," explained Ángeles Serna, president of TM Real Estate Group, "the company has invested more than 400 million in Benidorm, transforming it into an international reference point and allowing thousands of families to enjoy a new life by the sea. So far, 25 per cent of the units have already been booked, positioning the complex as one of the most important tourist projects in Europe.
The architectural project brings together two studios: BakPak Architects and GEA Architects. The structure, made of highly rigid reinforced concrete, validated through wind tunnel tests at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, is inspired by the shape of a sea coral. Vertical mobility will be handled by seven ultra-fast lifts, capable of reaching a speed of 6 metres per second.
