For about 400,000 households, equal to more than nine hundred thousand people, the Assegno di inclusione (Inclusion Allowance) is due these days: the last monthly payment on the electronic card in the possession of those who submitted the first applications for access to the support measure operating from 18 December 2023 goes into payment Friday 27 June.
This group of beneficiaries who started receiving economic support from January 2024, therefore, at the end of the 18-month duration of the economic support will have to wait for one month of suspension in order to obtain a renewal, granted by Inps if they still meet the requirements.
How to apply
.The request for renewal can be made during the suspension period, as early as Tuesday 1 July; recognition should arrive the following month (August), or the month after that (September) but with accrued arrears.
The application can be submitted online through the Inps website, or through patronages and Cafes. The beneficiaries of the economic support, according to the latest Inps report on the Assegno di inclusione (Inclusion Allowance) dating back to 31 December 2024, are just under 760,000, involving a total of 1.82 million people. The average monthly amount of the benefit in 2024 was 620 euro, with a higher concentration of beneficiaries in the southern regions, in line with the previous measure of the Citizenship Income that was replaced with the Adi.
The economic benefit is disbursed, monthly, on the electronic payment card for a continuous period of up to 18 months and may be renewed, after a one-month suspension, for further periods of 12 months. A one-month suspension is also provided for at the end of the 12-month renewal periods.
