"The world of gyms is changing: a strong evolution focused on the individual's experience," explains Alessandro Englaro, CEO and co-founder of AKUIS. "In this, there are large groups that are bringing innovation in user management, simplifying the work even for personal trainers who can and must focus on their added value and not on managing routines. Much is being done in terms of the complete experience, so that going to the gym becomes a pleasure in more ways than one. This is also expanding the multi-generational audience that goes to the gym for profession, pleasure or necessity in the case of rehabilitative gymnastics. Having state-of-the-art, hyper-professional but extremely flexible and easy-to-configure machines that can offer workouts for everyone can only become an added value for entrepreneurs and users alike'.
From Greece to Modernity: "Stadia"
.With this in mind, AKUIS, the company that brought Sintesi's innovation to the personal training and functional sports preparation market, presented two new products for the gym segment at RiminiWellness 2024: Stadia Duo and Stadia Quattro.
The name 'Stadia' recalls the ancient Greek unit of measurement 'στάδιον', used for running tracks, evoking contexts of races and training. It also represents the stages of an evolutionary process and, in technical terms, the complex mechanisms of a system. Stadia, explains a company note, "in its configurations, was conceived as an evolution of the AKUIS range with a view to maximising the gym workstation. Furthermore, it replaces the most common fitness equipment and simulates functional training for different sports disciplines, with a variety and completeness never before achieved by a single machine. Sintesi and Stadia, both Made in Italy, have extremely low consumption and cut down on the use of cast iron and plastic thanks to the exploitation of digital loads, the electric motor technology that enables fluid and constant resistance without being influenced by momentum and gravity and through which the load (up to 100kg and 2kW of power) can be varied in real time and deactivated at any time".
From cast iron to digital loads
.Clemente Russo, personal trainer and entrepreneur in the fitness world, former boxer, two-time world heavyweight champion and winner of two Olympic silver medals, took a live test of the new Stadia, commenting on it with these words: 'The electromagnetic motor technology offers a smooth and innovative workout that far surpasses traditional cast iron weights. The feeling of controlled and customisable resistance is something revolutionary. I am certain that this innovation will take us to new levels of performance and well-being, radically changing the world of fitness, not only for the user but also for the gym business. I can't wait to see how this machine will transform everyday training for everyone.
Functionality via app
.Stadia is managed via an intuitive touchscreen app, simplifying settings and enhancing the user experience. The load can be adjusted in real time, making training more efficient and safer. In addition, trainers can create customised programmes for users, with real-time monitoring and visualisation of performance.
