Indire presents the results of its 2025 activities: research, innovation and international cooperation in support of schools

There is a strong focus on the school internationalisation activities carried out by INDIRE in its capacity as the Erasmus+ National Agency, which continues to promote the Italia education system’s participation in European programmes for mobility, cooperation and the exchange of best practice.

The Institute’s scientific work is documented in over 130 scientific publications. This extensive and in-depth research process underpins the practical work of developing, testing and disseminating training methodologies, as well as organisational models, tools, learning environments and innovative practices that support schools, CPIA centres, ITS Academy and the entire education and training system. Closely linked to this scientific work is the Institute’s support for the reforms and policies implemented by the Ministry of Education and Merit, through hundreds of activities involving the observation, monitoring and analysis of educational phenomena.
With over 180 scientific and public awareness-raising events at national and international level that have fostered the circulation of knowledge and public debate on education and training issues, INDIRE also reaffirms its role as a leading player in the dissemination and promotion of educational innovation.

“The Institute brought 2025 to a close having achieved significant results, stemming from an awareness of just how strategic the objectives entrusted to us by Minister Valditara and all the stakeholders in our system are,” said INDIRE’s president, Francesco Manfredi. “These results demonstrate, once again, our ability to generate public and social value through solid, practical cutting-edge research, which enables us to support positive change within educational institutions by providing them with models, tools, evidence and support processes that can be used in all contexts.”

“If we take stock of 2025, the picture that emerges is that we are heading in the right direction,” says Flaminio Galli, Director-General of INDIRE. “The tangible results, both from an economic and a management perspective, demonstrate a constant commitment to building an innovative and international education system. In this regard, the work of the National Erasmus+ Agency continues to prove indispensable in encouraging educational institutions to participate in European cooperation and mobility networks, thereby consolidating INDIRE’s role in international educational cooperation.”
