Industry: Istat reports a 1 per cent fall in turnover in June, up 6.3 per cent year-on-year
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - In June, it is estimated that industrial turnover, adjusted for seasonal factors, will fall by 1 per cent in value and 0.7 per cent in volume on a month-on-month basis, with negative trends recorded both on the domestic market (-1 per cent in value and -0.4 per cent in volume) and on the export market (-1 per cent in value and -1.3 per cent in volume). According to Istat, on a year-on-year basis, the unadjusted index stands at +6.3 per cent, whilst the calendar-adjusted index shows an increase in value (+3.1 per cent) and a fall in volume (-0.9 per cent), reflecting growth of 2.3 per cent in value and a fall of 1.8 per cent in volume on the domestic market, and an increase of 4.6 per cent in value and 0.8 per cent in volume on the foreign market. Over the six-month period, the sector’s turnover rose by 3.1 per cent year-on-year.
