The appointment is for 24 September at 10 a.m., at the Verona Chamber of Commerce, where the stage dedicated to the Veneto region of Innovation Days 2024, the national roadshow of Il Sole 24 Ore that crosses the regions and that this year will make use of the collaboration of Giovani Imprenditori di Confindustria.
A reflection of Veneto companies towards Industry 5.0 and the need to stimulate investments in order to remain competitive in national and foreign markets. In 2023 the regional product of Veneto grew in real terms by 1.1 per cent, slightly more than the national average (0.9 per cent), with a marked slowdown compared to 2022 (4.9 per cent). According to the annual report of the Bank of Italy, in fact, slowdown in world trade, high interest rates and erosion of household purchasing power weakened regional economic activity, but by the beginning of this 2024 the indices were positive again.
In a market such as today's, where the primary goal of companies is to be increasingly competitive, it is necessary for companies, starting with SMEs, to invest more and more in innovation, especially with the help of Artificial Intelligence: investing in new technologies and state-of-the-art production processes means higher turnover/productivity and better margins. The fourth Innovation Days event will be dedicated to the benefits of new technologies, how to finance their purchase, and the need to train workers in their use. Growing for a winning competitiveness, with the aim of identifying the right solutions.
Local institutions, the mayor Damiano Tommasi and the president of the Region Luca Zaia have been invited to take part in the discussion, which will be followed by a round table on 'Veneto companies towards Industry 5.0: the need to stimulate investment'. Confindustria Veneto president Enrico Carraro, Marco Dalla Bernardina, president of Giovani Imprenditori di Confindustria Veneto, and Giuseppe Riello, president of the Chamber of Commerce Industria Artigianato Agricoltura Verona, as well as Chiara Mio, professor of Business Economics, Ca' Foscari University, Venice, are confirmed to attend.
Innovation Days Verona 2024 will also benefit from the media partnership of L'Arena (Gruppo Editoriale Athesis). At the end of the morning there will be ample space for business networking, opened by a light lunch involving speakers, partners and the audience in the hall.
