Good news for football fans. The Champions League double semi-final between Inter and Barcelona (first leg at Montjuic on Wednesday 30 April, return leg at the San Siro on Tuesday 6 May) will be broadcast live free to air, as required by AgCom regulations.
It had already happened for the Milan derby, also in the Champions semi-final, in the '22-23 season.
At the time, Amazon agreed with Sky to also broadcast the match on TV8, the free channel of Comcast's pay-TV. Which could also happen in this case.
Amazon could, however, also decide to broadcast exceptionally on its platform, opening up viewing also to non-subscribers, or cede the rights to a traditional broadcaster, just as it did in 2022-23 (Rai, Mediaset or TV8) for live digital terrestrial broadcasting.
The return match, whose rights are held by Sky, is likely to be broadcast on Tv8.
