Intesa Sanpaolo confirms that "there was no IT security problem" with respect to which the bank is "in the best international positions". This is what Intesa Sanpaolo wrote in a note about the affair of the abusive accesses by an employee who was then fired.

"The commitment," he continued, "of all the 100,000 people who work in Intesa Sanpaolo is to confirm the levels of excellence that place the bank at the top of Europe. Thanks to the values that guide us, we will continue to ensure our role as Italy's economic and social driving force".

The Story

As is well known, an 'unfaithful employee of our bank, with behaviour that seriously violated internal rules, regulations and procedures, accessed data and information concerning certain customers in an unjustified manner'.

This was stated by Intesa Sanpaolo in a note. "The internal control system - it continues - identified him, we sent notification to the Privacy Guarantor, we dismissed the unfaithful employee and filed a complaint as an injured party. We are very sorry about what happened and apologise. What happened must not happen again.
