Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting Ideofarm in the launch of an “international Call4Innovation dedicated to the Deep Tech & New Materials sectors”, thereby reaffirming its commitment to supporting the growth and innovation of the client companies of the Banca dei Territori, headed by Stefano Barrese.
The initiative stems from the long-standing relationship between the bank led by Carlo Messina and Ideofarm, Powersoft’s Innovation Garage based in Scandicci (Florence), a group operating in the professional audio industry, specialising in high-efficiency amplification, signal processing and transduction technologies. The call for proposals, as highlighted in a press release issued by the bank, ‘will be carried out by the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Centre through the Circular Economy Lab, a joint initiative with Cariplo Factory, which will conduct an international scouting programme to identify start-ups, spin-offs and innovative organisations capable of meeting the technological and industrial needs identified by Ideofarm’.
In response to the company’s expressed need for innovation, Intesa Sanpaolo has drawn on the specialist expertise of its Innovation Centre to develop an Open Innovation programme aimed at identifying emerging technologies and high-potential start-ups capable of supporting Ideofarm’s development projects.
Call4Innovation aims to support technological development and the adoption by the manufacturing sector of innovations in strategic areas such as new materials and metamaterials, electroacoustics and wireless power transmission.
In a context where emerging technologies are profoundly redefining production and industrial models, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between scientific development and practical application, identifying solutions that have already been validated and supporting them on their path to growth and industrialisation. Through a structured programme of international scouting, start-ups and innovative organisations capable of generating real impact and contributing to the evolution of complex products and systems will be identified and assessed, through a collaborative process involving industrial partners and key players in the innovation ecosystem.
