Curve investigation, Inter and AC Milan settle: one round of suspension for Inzaghi

A one-day disqualification for Simone Inzaghi and Hakan Calhanoglu, fines of 15 and 30 thousand euros respectively and 70 thousand for Inter. A fine of 30 thousand euros for Milan. These are the penalties announced by the FIGC for the two clubs and the players involved following the plea bargain with the Federal Prosecutor's Office, regarding the criminal investigation on the curves and on the relations between ultras and players of Inter and Milan. The disqualification for Inzaghi and Calhanoglu will be served in the next round against Verona.

Thanks to the plea bargain, the penalties are halved and there is no trial. Inzaghi and Chalanoglu violated two articles of the code of sporting justice, the one on loyalty and probity and the obligation to comply with federal rules (4, paragraph 1) and Article 25, paragraph 10 'which provides for the prohibition to have relations with exponents of groups or groups of supporters who are not part of associations affiliated with the clubs, for having had, at least since the 2022-23 football season, relations with exponents of the Ultrà group called Curva Nord'.

Among the club members fined is also Javier Zanetti with 14,500 euros. Inter is sanctioned with 70 thousand euros for direct and objective responsibility (art. 6, paragraphs 1 and 2) for the behaviour of the coach and midfielder, Zanetti himself, Massimiliano Silva and Claudio Sala (14,500 fine and 30 days of inhibition). A.C. Milan will pay the penalty of 30 thousand euros for objective responsibility for the behaviour ascribed to Fabio Pansa (30 days of inhibition and 13 thousand euros fine) and Davide Calabria, who has not currently chosen the plea bargaining route and will therefore be heard by the Federal Prosecutor's Office.
