The stars of Apple's latest event, the iPhone 16, Watch 10 and the new AirPods 4 have been on the market for a couple of weeks now. We tested them, and some things surprised us, others less so. Let's see how it went.
Iphone 16 Plus Review
.Let's start with iPhone 16 Plus. It is the big brother of the iPhone 16, from which it steals a larger (and more enjoyable) display and a decidedly interesting battery life. At first glance, the innovations - for those who have a fairly recent iPhone - seem very few to entice a user to purchase it. Above all, the design is the familiar Apple design, despite the change in the positioning of the lenses on the rear body.
What we found of absolute value is the fluidity that the new A18 Bionic chip gives the device: never sluggish, even under stressful usage conditions. Also excellent, as mentioned, is the autonomy: thanks to a 4,674 mAh battery, the classic day of use is not in the slightest doubt. In fact, with a bit of willpower, even two days are possible.
The photo compartment, with the new 48-megapixel 'Fusion Camera', offers high-quality results, even in low light. Colours are vivid and details well defined, although the comparison with the Pro's photos shows a rather unbridgeable gap. The display is the real highlight: it is a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED all-screen, for 2796×1290 pixels at 460 ppi.
The design, as mentioned, is in line with previous models, with an added touch of sophistication. The new, customisable Action button adds a touch of versatility. And the small trackpad positioned on the right edge that allows you to operate the camera with a few mechanical movements is a good idea, but the feeling is that it is an innovation rather an end in itself: not very easy to use, not very intuitive and above all not very comfortable (often taking the iPhone in your hand you operate the camera without meaning to).
