Iran: Araghchi says the Strait of Hormuz will be under Tehran’s full control for 30 days

Abbas Araghchi, according to the Al-Jazeera website.
The statement comes after attacks resumed between Saturday and Sunday, during which the US struck Iranian targets following an incident in which a Panamanian oil tanker was hit by drones attributed to Tehran.
Araghchi reiterated that “no other institution or country” apart from Iran is “responsible” for managing the strait and that, “in accordance with the memorandum of understanding”, “any interference” in the management of the strait will lead to “delays in its reopening and will increase tensions, as we have seen over the last two nights”.
