Iran: Tehran – US blockade of ports has been lifted
The blockade imposed by the United States on Iranian ports, which had been in place for around two months, was lifted before the agreement was signed. This was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi. “The blockade was lifted before the official signing,” the Deputy Minister said.
According to Tehran, the lifting of the port blockade was one of the key demands made by Iran in its negotiations with the United States. Iran and the United States announced yesterday that they had reached a framework agreement to end the conflict that broke out following the US-Israeli attack on 28 February. The agreement is scheduled to be officially signed on Friday in Switzerland.
