Iran: military command announces closure of the Strait of Hormuz following Israeli attacks in Lebanon
Iran’s Central Military Command has announced that it has once again closed the Strait of Hormuz, in response to Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, which, according to Tehran, violate the memorandum of understanding concluded with the United States.
“We hereby announce that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed to maritime traffic,” stated the Khatam-al Anbiya Central Command in a statement broadcast on state television. “This initial measure is a response to the enemy’s breach of its commitments.”
