The opening of the new front of the war between Israel and Iran has sent the oil markets into turmoil. Staffetta Quotidiana writes, explaining: Brent crude appreciated by about 10 per cent and then stabilised at around 75 dollars, its level at the beginning of April. The same fate befell refined product prices in the Mediterranean, which were at their highest level since the beginning of April, with petrol rising by the equivalent of two cents per litre and diesel by three. The reflection on prices at the pump was not long in coming: after two weeks, petrol is back above 1.7 euro/litre (national self-service average), diesel above 1.6.
According to the usual Staffetta Quotidiana survey, on Saturday Eni increased the recommended prices of petrol and diesel by one cent per litre. For Ip and Q8 we register increases of two cents per litre on diesel.
These are the average prices communicated by the operators to the Price Observatory of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy and processed by Staffetta Quotidiana, surveyed at 8 a.m. yesterday morning on about 18,000 plants: self-service petrol at 1.707 euro/litre (+10 thousandths, companies 1.714, white pumps 1.693), self-service diesel at 1.605 euro/litre (+9, companies 1.614, white pumps 1.588).
Petrol served at 1.846 euro/litre (+8, companies 1.889, white pumps 1.762), diesel served at 1.745 euro/litre (+8, companies 1.790, white pumps 1.658).
