Secret services, Italian 007s seek experts in cyber, cryptography and finance

The Hpc area is looking for graduates in the fields of computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics with skills in the design, implementation and optimisation of high-performance systems. The knowledge required includes: Hpc architectures, cluster management for scientific simulations and artificial intelligence projects, parallel code development and tuning, containerisation and management of scientific software environments, advanced computing techniques, integration of AI solutions in research workflows, profiling and performance analysis.

In the field of cryptography, the selection is aimed at graduates in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or telecommunications. Knowledge and/or skills in quantum technologies, quantum computing, processor architectures and programming of quantum algorithms, as well as encrypted communications and quantum cryptography are required. The notice also includes analysis and critical evaluation of the relevant literature and the development of applications for cryptanalysis.

For the Cyber area, the notice concerns graduates from technical-scientific institutes (computer science and telecommunications) and graduates in computer security or engineering. The skills required include: cyber threat tactics, techniques and procedures, anonymisation, cyber threat intelligence, reverse engineering, malware analysis, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing on networks and operating systems and on applications and websites, red teaming, blue teaming, digital forensics, log analysis, and IoT/ICT device research/analysis.

On the economic-financial front, economics graduates are sought with expertise in the protection of the economy, financial and credit markets, stock prices and government securities. Among the topics are: the fight against tax evasion and avoidance in its most complex forms, protection against threats to industrial assets and technological know-how, and threats related to money laundering or reuse of illicit capital. Also included are green economy and energy transition, energy supply and renewable energy, corporate functions, M&A and R&S.

For the area of domestic and international terrorism, the search is aimed at graduates in international studies or the humanities, with the ability to analyse the phenomena of domestic terrorism of any matrix and international terrorism, including jihadist terrorism, as well as religious radicalism, international crime, immigration and human trafficking. The list also includes countering subversive phenomena of a brigatist or anarchist matrix, as well as extremism and antagonism.

Graduates or graduates in communication, sociology, international relations or IT are sought for Osint (Open Source Intelligence). Advanced skills are needed in research, collection, analysis and processing from open sources (Osint-Socmint-Deep/Darkweb) using Osint tools and tools for data processing, scraping automation, API management and social media monitoring platforms. Activities include: analysis of textual, multimedia and geo-localised content, evaluation of source reliability, construction of threat profiles and production of in-depth and monitoring reports on topics relevant to national security.
