GDP: Meloni says Italia is not growing as it should due to structural issues
Energy costs are holding back growth – our battle in the EU
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - “Italia is not growing as it should due to problems that are predominantly structural in nature. There is low productivity, which is due, firstly, to the nature of our economic fabric – we have a great many micro and small businesses – and, secondly, to a lack of investment in innovation and human capital, which is insufficient; this is the reason behind many of the measures we have taken.” This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during the recording of ‘Porta a Porta’ with Bruno Vespa on Rai1. “However, when it comes to growth, the issue of energy costs is a major factor, and the battles we are fighting in Europe are making a difference in this regard,” added Meloni.
