The international expansion of the Italpress news agency continues. After the recent agreement in Riyadh with the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) of Saudi Arabia, it has signed a prestigious partnership agreement with CCTV+, which is part of CMG (China Media Group), China's largest publishing group that also includes the state television station CCTV and the international multimedia video news agency CCTV+.
This new partnership will allow Italpress to broadcast its multimedia and video content in China and at the same time be able to use CCTV+ agency videos and feeds for its own video formats and subscribers in Italy and abroad.
"I am truly flattered and proud of this important agreement," says the founder and director of the Italpress agency, Gaspare Borsellino, "as it allows us to open up to new and important markets such as China. I would like to thank the director Li Xia and all her staff for the trust they have placed in our agency for this important and stimulating international partnership, which is part of an ambitious and structured path of expansion abroad, for the diffusion of our multimedia content in an increasingly broader and more global market".
CCTV+ director, Li Xia, was also satisfied with this agreement.
"In the current trend of global media integration, CCTV+ is committed to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with leading international news agencies, with the aim of promoting diversified, objective and in-depth journalism. I am very pleased,' says Li Xia, 'to officially launch a partnership for the exchange of journalistic content with Italpress, an important and prestigious Italian news agency. This collaboration not only reflects the growing mutual trust and cooperation between Chinese and Italian media, but also richer and more comprehensive international journalistic content for global audiences. Italpress offers solid professional expertise and advantages in journalism in Europe, particularly in Italy, while CCTV+ has a strong global newsgathering capability and a multilingual content distribution network. This partnership will allow both parties to complement each other's strengths and resources, opening up new avenues for international news distribution. In the future,' he continues, 'both parties will deepen collaboration in areas such as joint journalism, content sharing, staff communication, and technical cooperation, working together to seize development opportunities for the news industry in the age of artificial intelligence. Through this collaboration, I look forward to jointly producing authoritative, credible and internationally influential journalistic content, and contributing the power of media to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Italy."
