Italy in the Olympus of the best Neapolitan pizzerias in the world

The best are in New York and Caserta. As many as 41 venues are in the Peninsula, 16 in the USA and 6 in Brazil. The rankings

What a Neapolitan pizza! The best in the world can be enjoyed in the Old and New Continent. With an ex aequo, I Masanielli by Francesco Martucci, in Caserta, and Una Pizza Napoletana by Anthony Mangieri, in first place also in 2024, are the two best in the world according to the 50 Top Pizza 2025 ranking curated by Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro and Albert Sapere. The top ten continues with The Pizza Bar on 38th in Tokyo, headed by Daniele Cason, and third position for Leggera Pizza Napoletana by André Guidon, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Several establishments in Italy followed and there was another ex aequo in fourth place: Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria, in Naples, and Confine by Francesco Capece and Mario Ventura, in Milan. It continues with Napoli on the Road by Michele Pascarella, in London and, sixth, Seu Pizza Illuminati by Pier Daniele Seu and Valeria Zuppardo, in Rome. In San Bonifacio, in the province of Verona, there is I tigli by Simone Padoan, which conquers seventh position while for eighth one flies to Madrid, to Baldoria by Ciro Cristiano. The ninth and tenth places go to California with Pizzeria Sei by William Joo, in Los Angeles and Tony's Pizza Napoletana by Tony Gemignani, in San Francisco.

There are 37 countries in the 2025 world ranking. Italy comes first with 41 venues, followed by the United States with 16 and Brazil with 6. The most represented cities are Naples and Sao Paulo with 5 venues each, followed by New York, Milan and Caserta with 4. The team of experts awarded special prizes to: William Joo of Pizzeria Sei, Los Angeles, is the Pizza Maker of the Year 2025 - Ferrarelle Award;

the Pizza of the Year 2025 - Latteria Sorrentina Award is Ricordi d'Infanzia by Napoli on the Road, in London;

the Best Pasta Proposal 2025 - Pastificio Di Martino Award goes to Flama, in Miraflores;

the Best Wine List 2025 - La Gioiosa Award goes to Confine, in Milan;

the Best Beer Service 2025 - Peroni Nastro Azzurro Award goes to Via Toledo, Vienna;

the Best Cocktail List 2025 - Sei Bellissimi Award goes to Dry Milano, in Milan;

the Made in Italy 2025 - Salumi Coati Award goes to IMperfetto, in Puteaux; ù

the Performance of the Year 2025 - Robo Award goes to La Clásica in San Salvador;

the New Entry of the Year 2025 - Solania Award goes to Babette in Stockholm;

the Best Marketing 2025 - Mammafiore Award goes to Slice & Pie in Washington;

the One to Watch 2025 - Orlando Foods Award goes to ANTO, Singapore;

the Best Dessert List 2025 - Latteria San Salvatore Award goes to La Bolla, in Caserta;

the Best Fried Food 2025 - Il Fritturista - Oleificio Zucchi Award goes to Fratelli Figurato in Madrid.

Certificates and awards were also presented to individuals and organisations that distinguished themselves during the year for their work in enhancing the value of pizza. First of all, the Outstanding Career Achievement 2025 - Fedegroup Award given to Jonathan Goldsmith of Spacca Napoli Pizzeria, in Chicago.

Among the associations, recognition to the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani and the Gruppo la Piccola Napoli for promoting the traditional art of the Neapolitan pizza maker in Italy and around the world; among the events, recognition at the European Pizza Show, in London, SIGEP WORLD, in Rimini and TuttoPizza, in Naples. Also taking the stage was John Arena, who had already received the special Icon 2025 Award in New York, for having dedicated his life to artisan pizza in the USA and to whom the organisers expressed their appreciation for his commitment to the John Arena Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the creation of culinary activities aimed at people suffering from neurological disorders.
