Jaecoo 5 debuts with three engines.

At the MIMO Milano Monza Motor Show, Omoda & Jaecoo presents the Italian premiere of the new compact suv Jaecoo 5, Suv

It is positioned between the B-Suv and C-Suv segments with a length of 438 cm and offers three different engines: petrol, HEV hybrid and 100 per cent electric. Proposed with front-wheel drive. The lines of the Jaecoo 5 display a vertical 'waterfall' effect front grille, reduced overhangs, sculpted sides and a black gloss roof. Full LED light clusters complete a modern, essential and open-air-oriented look.

Over 35 storage compartments distributed throughout the cabin and scratch-resistant materials make the Jaecoo 5 the ideal companion for the outdoors, with surfaces that are easy to clean and designed to last. The dashboard integrated in the dashboard is designed for intuitive and immediate reading, flanked by a vertical central screen. The interior environment is customised with 16 million colours for ambient lighting. A two-spoke steering wheel and seats with high-density padding complete a comfortable, premium driving experience. With independent suspension on all four wheels, a high-rigidity chassis, wading capabilities of up to 60 cm and three driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport), the Jaecoo 5 is designed to tackle any terrain with confidence in full control. Three souls for a single identity; petrol with 1.6 TGDi engine with 7DCT gearbox producing 147 hp and 275 Nm; HEV with 1.5 TGDi + DHT150 hybrid system, 1.8 kWh battery for a combined power output of 143 hp (thermal) + 204 hp (electric) and BEV, with 61 kWh battery for 204 hp and 340 Nm. All versions are offered with front-wheel drive.

The exterior colour palette consists of five shades, while the interior is available in white or black. Jaecoo 5 will be launched in September and prices will be announced close to the launch. With the arrival of Jaecoo 5, Omoda & Jaecoo's Suv range will be divided into three complementary models by 2025: Jaecoo 5 - a compact Suv with petrol, HEV and BEV engines; Jaecoo 7, a C-Suv with petrol and plug-in Super Hybrid (SHS) engines available in 2WD and 4WD variants; and finally, Jaecoo 8, a 7-seat D-Suv with Super Hybrid engines and all-wheel drive.
