Jaguar has produced the latest combustion engine car
It is an F-Pace SVR with a 5,000 cc V8 engine producing 575 hp and 700 Nm of torque with all-wheel drive. It is not for sale, but will go into the Jaguar collection as a reminder of the end of an era
Jaguar produced the latest thermal F-Pace at its Solihull factory on 19 December. This is the top-of-the-range SVR variant with under the bonnet the supercharged 5.0 cc V8 engine with 575 hp of maximum power and 700 Nm of torque in addition to four-wheel drive. As is well known, the British brand has long since announced that from 2026 future models will be electric only.
The debut with the production version of the Type 00
The first model of the new era will be the production version of the Jaguar Type 00 presented about a year ago. Despite a lot of criticism, the British brand does not seem intent on changing its mind. The ambitious aim is, in fact, to focus on a luxury offer currently garrisoned by the models of two potential competitors, equally British, Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
Three electric variants coming within the decade
The bodywork of the new Jaguar Type 00 retains the same coupé solution as the concept, offering a level of materials to which is added a battery credited with 1,000 hp. The coupe version will be followed by an all-electric suv to take up the legacy of the F-Pace. Finally, by the end of the decade it will be the turn of a battery-powered sedan that will replace the flagship XJ.
The electric strategy is also adopted by the group
The switch to electric is part of a strategy that has been renamed Reimagine and will affect the entire group. Land Rover, in fact, has announced 100% electric versions of its flagship models including both the Discovery and the Defender, albeit in a less extreme variant than that adopted for Jaguar's offer, which will focus on an exclusively 100% electric range
