Jeep Avenger, here's how the baby SUV changes (little)

What goes around comes around. Jeep Avenger gets a makeover after more than 270,000 units globally and being the best-selling B-segment SUV for two years, awarded Car of The Year 2023. The main aesthetic novelty comes from the backlit seven-slot grille, following what we have already seen on the Compass, and the revised headlights now also with LED matrix. There is more protective trim and the 4xe version can be recognised by the red inserts on the front bumper. Two new colours arrive, Forest and Bamboo, and new 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels make their debut. Prices start at 25,700 euros, an increase of 500 euros over the previous year for the thermal versions, while the electric version continues to be offered from 39,400 euros.

On board, the restyling introduces softer materials, the Select-Terrain control (the adjustment of the different maps and settings), which is standard on all versions, is framed in red and rubber-covered, and from the 10.25-inch central screen, from which the CarPlay and Android Auto compatible infotainment system can be operated even without a cable, a 360-degree view of the car can be had.

In terms of engines, the main novelty comes from the introduction of the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Turbo 100 engine with optimised service intervals, with a service every two years or 25,000 km (compared to the previous one year or 20,000 km), with an annual intermediate check. It replaces the Puretech that gave Stellantis more than one problem, boasts chain distribution and is already fitted to the Grande Panda, Lancia Ypsilona and Peugeot 308. Confirmed are the 110 hp and 145 hp 4xe mild hybrid versions. To close, the electric 156 hp and 400 km of autonomy.

In addition to the Longitude, Altitude and Summit, Upland and Overland versions, the restyling introduces the special 85th Anniversary version with a customisation inspired by the history of the American brand.
