Jesuisvir, the first swimwear collection focuses on elegance

Made in Italy fabrics and comfortable yet daring outfits for Virginia Pellegrino's line, ready to replicate with a capsule of dresses for summer

Several roles encompassed in the activity that Virginia Pellegrino, 25, chose to pursue even before finishing her studies. Founder, entrepreneur and designer of the brand JesuisVir, which is nothing more than the French translation of "I am Virginia", with the diminutive Vir that the designer has always used. "I wanted to throw myself 100% into the project using my name as well," she says.

The brand was born in March 2024 and is now in its first collection, that of summer 2025.

'My dream has always been to design costumes, ever since I was a child,' Virginia told Il Sole 24 Ore. After completing my three-year degree at the Academy of Luxury, I worked for a year to look for workshops and fabrics for my project'.

The aim is to bring a 100% Made in Italy product to the market that stands out for comfort and durability. In the women's collection, the range of bikinis and one-piece swimming costumes in minimalist design are made from high-quality Italian fabrics and with great attention to sustainability. The materials are all tone-on-tone doubled and are breathable and quick-drying.

The lines of the entire collection are essential yet elegant and aim to combine functionality with aesthetics. Without neglecting seduction as the hallmark of some models.

"The colours I chose are the iconic black, ivory and butter white," says Virginia, "but also a variant of red that looks very elegant when worn. I tried to select a palette of colours that were not often seen'.

The newly launched collection consists of 13 models, including one-piece and two-piece suits.

But Virginia is already at work on the next collection. "I am doing the first thoughts on how to develop the models and how to enrich the collection with clothes for the beachwear world, for the beach but also for the evening".

Production takes place in a workshop in the Como area that specialises in beachwear.

'My brand was born to be sold online,' he says, 'but I do not exclude entering some boutiques. This summer, for example, I will open a pop-up in Porto Rotondo'.

The two lines that make up the first collection are 'Eterea', dominated by transparent tulle, and 'Allure', which stands out for its boldness and sophistication.

There is no shortage of men's costumes. "For the men's line, I chose to use recycled polyester as a material," she concludes. The various pieces come in classic and discreet colours such as military green and navy blue.
