The bankruptcy court of Milan has ordered the judicial liquidation, the institution that replaced the old bankruptcy, for Bioera, the bio-food group's spa whose Tourism Daniela Santanchè was president until 2021 and which had among its directors the FdI senator's former partner, Canio Giovanni Mazzaro.
The judges granted the request of prosecutors Marina Gravina and Luigi Luzi.
The order came after the hearing on 14 November, set to discuss the 'application for approval of the debt restructuring agreement proposed by the company'.
As a result, the court explained, 'of the emergence of multiple critical issues, linked to the unavailability of useful resources to pay creditors not adhering to the agreement itself, to the non-execution of a planned capital increase, and to the impossibility in practice of enforcing a formally existing personal guarantee'. The company's petition 'aimed at proceeding with the substantial amendment of the agreement was not granted, as it lacked an effective industrial, financial and cash flow plan'.
Santanchè: 'I am an outsider, but I understand the headline'
."I don't understand why they bring me into the picture, as I am absolutely extraneous, but I understand that it makes headlines and perhaps sells a few more copies". This was said by the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, arriving at the Cnel headquarters for the general assembly of Confindustria Alberghi, responding to a question on the judicial liquidation of Bioera, ordered today by the bankruptcy court of Milan. 'There was a television programme that speculated on a dead man,' he added, 'on a photo that the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office had to intervene to say that there absolutely was not, I am absolutely calm. What displeases me is this fury that even in things where I have nothing to do with it, they bring me into the picture.
