An injection of soft skills for Just Eat employees. This is the plan launched by the Italian headquarters of the delivery multinational, which has created the "Soft skill academy", choosing Gility as its partner, a learning technology company founded as the first Italian system project with the mission of promoting the widespread and constant growth of skills. The areas of action of the project are heterogeneous and include the strategic and operational aspects of the training course aimed at the growth of relational, communication and collaboration skills, such as emotion management, organisational efficiency, time management and employee empowerment dynamics in the Italian headquarters. After mapping the internal competencies and identifying the skill mismatch, the training project was implemented according to three company clusters: selection, administration and leadership team.
The 'soft skills academy' thus becomes a pillar of corporate training for lifelong learning with a vertical programme aimed at enhancing and improving strategic skills such as the ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, manage stress and overcome challenges by organising one's time better.
The training started in March and this first round of courses will end in September. Involving Just Eat branch staff aged between 26 and 43 with a series of on-demand, live and in-person coaching lessons, according to a programme that innovates and promotes the enhancement of decision-making and relational skills. Objective: to have employees who are more attentive to the development of relational and behavioural skills in companies.
"Together with Gility, we have designed a comprehensive training programme aimed at providing the skills and knowledge needed to meet the challenges of our ever-changing industry," comments Davide Bertarini, Head of Delivery at Just Eat. "I am excited to announce the launch of this new academy, an initiative that reflects Just Eat's commitment to the professional development of our operations team. We are convinced that this training programme will contribute significantly to improving individual and collective performance, creating a more productive, motivating and inclusive work environment. We believe that investing in people is the key to building a sustainable and satisfying future for the company and its employees".
Gility, on the other hand, is the learning tech company that aims to innovate, disseminate and amplify continuous training in companies to support skills growth. It has received support from funds including the Boost Innovation fund, headed by Cdp Venture Capital Sgr. The fund, after identifying the strong market need on the training front to raise the digital skills of SMEs, launched the project in collaboration with Bper Banca through a major seed in 2022 that endowed Gility with significant capital, prospectively over 12 million. Leading the project is the team of four co-founders with a solid vertical expertise in education and technology: Simone Maggi, as CEO, together with Flavio Molinari, Chief sales officer, Federica Bulega, Director of content, and Daniele di Bernardo, Chief technology officer. A system project and a single point of reference for the management of all training needs of companies, designed to amplify the possibilities for companies and employees to access the world of training, making the most of continuous, compulsory training opportunities and offering consultancy and tools to access even financed training - at national or territorial level - with the specific aim of helping to structure and root widespread growth of skills as a strategic lever for the very competitiveness of the country system.
