I tentativi estremi di rianimare i negoziati tra Usa e Iran
dal nostro corrispondente Marco Masciaga
In the heart of Milan Design Week 2026, an experience takes shape that goes beyond the object and immerses itself in the most essential dimension of architecture: space. At the Galleria Rossana Orlandi, Diasen presents Kenosis, an installation by architect Andrea D'Antrassi that transforms the exhibition space into a sensory landscape, where natural matter, light and silence dialogue in balance.
The project develops through four monumental elements, distinct in form and colour, which are arranged like a contemporary cromlech, evoking the concept of temenos, the sacred space of Greek tradition. This configuration does not define a full centre, but on the contrary constructs an absence: an emptiness charged with meaning that becomes the true focus of the work. The title itself, Kenosis, refers to the concept of emptying, understood as a conscious subtraction capable of revealing the essence of space and redefining the relationship between architecture, body and landscape.
The textural surfaces of the structures are made of Diathonite, a cork and lime-based biomalta developed by Diasen, which restores organic, primordial textures. The forms seem sculpted by time, similar to archaic barks, and convey a deeply natural tactile and visual sensation. In this context, the material is not merely a covering, but becomes a living presence, capable of capturing light, memory and perception. The result is an immersive environment that invites the visitor to slow down, cross the space and live a contemplative experience.
Kenosis also represents a synthesis of the philosophy of Diasen, a leading green building company from the Marche region. Specialised in the production of bio-mortars and natural paints based on cork, lime, clay and pumice stone, the company develops solutions oriented towards living wellbeing, thermo-hygrometric comfort and energy efficiency. Based in Sassoferrato, Diasen now operates in over 65 countries, with a strong international vocation and exports accounting for 70% of production.
Founded in 2000 as the green evolution of a family tradition linked to building chemistry, Diasen has its roots in a building culture that dates back to the 1920s. Today, this heritage translates into an innovative approach, capable of combining sustainability, material research and aesthetic quality.
