Kia EV2, the Brussels Motor Show debut of the smallest electric in the range
Two battery levels are available for a maximum range of 448 kilometres on one charge.
Key points
Kia EV2 is now a reality. The B-segment SUV makes its debut at the Brussels Motor Show, positioning itself at the heart of the Korean brand's lithium-ion offering, which belongs to the Hyundai group. There are two battery sizes available for up to 448 kilometres of autonomy on one charge and the list price has not yet been announced, but from the information leaked in recent months, it should be around 30,000 euros.
Sturdy style and compact dimensions
Built on the E-GMP platform, the same as for the other electric vehicles in the range, the Kia EV2 is produced in Europe, at the Zilina plant in Slovakia, and does not show any substantial aesthetic innovations compared to what we have already seen from the concept in recent months.
An interpretation of the 'Opposites United' design philosophy, the new SUV has compact dimensions, with a length of 4,060 mm, a width of 1,800 mm and a height of 1,575 mm. The wheelbase has a surprising length of 2,565 mm and allows enough knee room even for adult passengers.
