Milan Design Week welcomes EV2 concept, the 100% electric b-suv by Kia, which offers some eco-friendly innovations for the car's interior thanks to collaborations between the South Korean brand and Bcomp, Simplifyber and Biomyc.
Bcomp gets on board EV2 concept
Kia has partnered with the Swiss company Bcomp to distribute its ampliTex material in some components of the Kia Concept EV2, particularly in the rear seat shell and front seat substructures.
The collaboration is not new; in fact, the Bcomp company has already boarded the Concept EV3 and Concept EV4 models, and since then, this partnership continues to demonstrate the potential for large-scale implementation of bio-based composites, paving the way for wider adoption in production vehicles.
Simplifyber biological materials
.Kia's latest collaboration with Simplifyber, a leading innovator in bio-based materials technology, contains a next-generation cellulose-based compound used for the vehicle's dashboard and door panels.
This innovative material minimises waste through a liquid-based process that eliminates the need for weaving or spinning.
