Kia revamps the XCeed compact crossover: here's how it changes

The new Kia XCeed has been unveiled with the first official photos. The 2026 model year of the Korean brand's crossover includes a heavy aesthetic revamp of the front end, which is in line with the latest evolution of the Kia family with subtle LED light clusters developed vertically. There is also a complete revamp of the bumper lines, while the dimensions should remain unchanged at 4.4 metres in length. At the rear, what changes are, again, the light clusters, which stand out as being slender, while the rear window retains the downward line of the current XCeed.

The interior has been revolutionised and unified with the Kia range

Unheard of inside the new XCeed are two 12.3-inch displays, but built into a single panel. The steering wheel has been completely redesigned, with new physical buttons for both instrumentation and infotainment screens, including those for the new car's driver assistance systems. Below the central screen, the XCeed 2026 features the typical dashboard of all today's Kia cars, with the climate control featuring physical wheel-type touch controls to raise or lower the temperature in the cabin.

The new XCeed will go into production in the second half of 2026

The updated crossover will be produced from 29 May at Kia's Zilina plant in Slovakia. This is the same location that also assembles the Sportage and the other EV4 and EV2 electric cars. The Korean manufacturer has not, for the time being, announced the engines available for the 2026 model year of the new XCeed. The 1,000 cc mild hybrid three-cylinder is certainly planned, accredited as the current one with 115 hp of power, which can also be combined with a dual-clutch robotized transmission. Prices to be announced at launch are yet to be defined.
