Kia Stonic is back with a restyling that covers both styling and content, with more on-board connectivity, a versatile engine range and a suite of state-of-the-art driver assistance systems. Pricing and when it will hit the market have not yet been announced.

New Identity

.

Like the entire Kia family, the Stonic follows the 'Opposites United' design philosophy, giving it a more dynamic appearance.

The dimensions have remained virtually unchanged, except for an extra 25 mm in length, now reaching 4,165 mm, 1,760 mm wide and 1,520 mm high.

The front end introduces several changes, including new lighting, more prominent and textured front and lower grilles, and an updated front wing. The restyling also continues at the rear, with a new tailgate layout, distinctively designed tail lamps, an updated diffuser and a newly shaped rear bumper.

The road presence is emphasised by 16- and 17-inch wheels, 17-inch for the GT-Line version, which will also have a dedicated design.

Revised interior

Inside the cabin, numerous updates are noticeable, including the new panoramic dual display layout that combines two connected 12.3-inch screens for fully digital instrumentation and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.

The cabin also features new two- and three-spoke steering wheel designs, a redesigned gear knob and centre console, and an updated dashboard design. Other highlights include USB-C fast charging ports, wireless charging for smartphones and ambient lighting.

Motor range

.

The restyling of the Stonic also brings with it some novelties in the engine range, now consisting of a 1.0 T-Gdi petrol powertrain with an output of 100 hp. Alternatively, it is possible to opt for a 115 hp mild-hybrid version. Both engines are available with a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Connectivity and Security

.

In-vehicle safety is paramount and Kia engineers have equipped the Stonic with a long list of systems borrowed from higher segments, using radar sensors in the rear bumper, a front camera and radar sensors.

Also equipped with Kia Connect, the redesigned Stonic offers cloud-based services and real-time vehicle diagnostics. For peace of mind at all times, drivers can monitor, control and interact with their vehicle remotely via the Kia app.

Finally, one of the segment's most advanced features is the digital key, which allows drivers to unlock and start the vehicle using a compatible smartphone or smartwatch.
