A name with a French flavour, which translated means 'surly', for a brand that was founded in 2016 in Cagliari and is aimed at young women with a strong character. La Revêche was created by the young Sardinian entrepreneur and designer Sara Melis, who chose the universe of high-end beachwear as a testing ground to create a combination of aesthetics, quality craftsmanship and Made in Italy manufacture.
At the beginning of the business, some handmade pieces were destined for a small circle of friends. Hence the word of mouth that led to the expansion of the brand. The distinctive detail? The fabric floral appliqués were an eye-catcher, accelerating the growth of the brand.
Iconic is the brand's aesthetic motif: a rose in relief, which decorates each garment, giving it uniqueness and recognisability. Two models have become symbols of the brand: Aswan, with a deep neckline studded with tone-on-tone roses, and Shina, characterised by clean lines and applications in a coral red tone. Both are re-proposed as continuous garments every season.
By 2024, La Revêche had achieved a commercial presence in over 65 countries, with 70% of turnover generated by e-commerce and the remainder distributed among some thirty high-end multi-brand boutiques and the flagship store inaugurated in Porto Cervo three years ago.
The company ended the year with a 37% increase in sales and now aims to expand its single-brand retail network, with new openings planned in Saint-Tropez, Dubai and Miami.
