Lake Garda and its wonderful corners have always topped the charts for tourist attractiveness. But for some years now they have been positioned at the top of the luxury tourism rankings with some establishments whose level of hospitality climbs the charts for important recognitions. Like the one received a few weeks ago by Eala, a hotel in Limone del Garda awarded by the Michelin Guide with the two keys that identify an exceptional stay. On the basis of the new classification, more than 5000 hotels around the world have been surveyed, each one examined and evaluated according to five criteria (excellence in architecture and interior design; individuality, personality and authenticity; quality and solidity of service, comfort and maintenance; relevance of the structure in the context of the location; consistency between price and the experience offered).
Eala, designed in 2019 from the renovation and extension of the former Hotel Panorama, is an architectural jewel set in perfect harmony with its surroundings. The building, which will open in 2021, architecturally interprets the surrounding landscape, between the waters of the lake and the Gardesana panoramic road.
"It is the realisation of a dream, that of creating a hotel with a minimal impact on the environment and enhancing its characteristics to give guests the opportunity to experience the luxury of nature, of well-being generated by a very high level but genuine hospitality," recalls Davide Rossi, the third generation of the Risatti family, owners of Eala. A Michelin key (identifies a special stay) went to the historic Lido Palace, Riva del Garda, to the Vivere Suites and Rooms in Arco; in Trentino-Alto Adige not even a year after opening the Cape of Senses. This new hotel about 200 metres above sea level is in Torri del Benaco on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, on the Gardesana Orientale road. A true oasis of well-being, thanks to the combination of excellent cuisine and the Senses Spa, 2,000 square metres of wellness in front of a 10,000 square metre garden.
It was the Margesin family from Lana (Bz), already owners of the Alpiana Green Luxury in Foiana in South Tyrol, who wanted it. The entrepreneurs had long been looking for a place to create a special facility, different from the others, and only in 2018 did they manage to find the ideal location. The property is exclusively reserved for guests over 14 years of age and stays of a minimum of three nights.
Double also for the South Tyrolean Dorfer family, among the pioneers of tourism in South Tyrol with their Quellenhof in Val Passiria: in 2019, they opened their Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise, another top five-star address in the area.
