Waiting on programmes
.After the web and social networks have gone wild over the past few weeks watching and commenting on the test images of the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, Lancia makes its official announcement confirming the development of this car.
There is no official information yet on the technical part of the car, nor whether it is already homologated, but according to what Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, wrote on social media, the Stellantis brand will very soon make its debut in WRC2, i.e. in the world championship with a rally2 car.
This announcement is not a bolt out of the blue; in fact, after the more than 100 units sold of the Ypsilon HF rally4, the protagonist of the Lancia Trophy, Napolitano, during meetings with the press, repeatedly hinted that the Turin-based brand's plans in rallying would not stop there but that there would be a future with an international scope and a four-wheel drive car.
As a reminder, since October last year, when the Ypsilon HF Rally4 was first seen in action, the brand has kicked off the Lancia Trophy, presented the Ypsilon HF Racing and will soon release more detailed information on its upcoming sports programmes.
