Land Bank call for tender launched: over 14,000 hectares available

The eighth edition of the National Bank of Agricultural Lands, the instrument through which Ismea puts its land assets back into circulation, offering new investment opportunities with a special focus on the new generations, is about to kick off. In this edition, more than 14 thousand hectares of land will be made available, corresponding to about 571 potential farms, for a total auction base value of more than 180 million euro.

The tender consists of a permanent lot, for which a bid can be submitted at any time of the year, and a periodic lot, with an initial phase of sending the expression of interest and the subsequent invitation to submit an economic bid.

The permanent lot includes 386 plots of land, while the periodic lot is made up of 185 plots of land, of which 32 at the first attempt, 61 at the second and 92 at the third. The plots of land are distributed throughout the country, with a greater concentration in the South: Sicily alone accounts for 40% of the auction areas, followed by Tuscany with 11%, Sardinia and Calabria (9%) and Puglia (7%). Compared to previous editions, the time for the transmission of expressions of interest has been reduced from 90 to 30 days, while the period for the submission of economic offers has been reduced from 45 to 30 days. In addition, to facilitate younger farmers, the requirement to be registered with the agricultural social security system has been eliminated among the requirements for benefiting from the subsidy, an intervention that extends the number of beneficiaries under 41 and encourages the entry of new generations into the agricultural sector.

The new criteria for the sale are available on the dedicated portal www.ismea.it/banca-delle-terre. Expressions of interest can be submitted until 23:59 on 19 November 2025, exclusively through the dedicated portal.
