Lazio: Rocca, we’ve made a surplus of 300 million this year – something that hasn’t happened for a long time
“We had inherited a debt of 23 billion euros”
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - “Seeing economic growth in the region is a great source of satisfaction for me, and it is important to see the results of the Lazio Regional Development Plan coming to fruition after this first year of work”, given that “we inherited a debt of 23 billion euros. I can say that this year we will have a surplus of 300 million euros, something that hasn’t happened for I don’t know how long.” This was stated by Francesco Rocca, Governor of Lazio, during the update on the region’s Industrial Plan, held today in Rome.
Speaking on the “subject of skills”, one of those identified as key to Lazio’s future, “I am about to launch a scheme, thanks to the European Social Fund and with the involvement of the Lincei and our universities, to attract young people, rewarding the best schools with a ten-day experience at the University of Berkeley”.
