The Le Mans trophy forever in the Ferrari trophy cabinet. An honour that belongs to whoever wins three consecutive editions of the 24 Hours on the iconic French circuit. The feat was achieved, in the Hypercar class, by the yellow 499P number 83 of the AF Corse team, driven by the Chinese Yifei Ye (official driver of the Prancing Horse), together with the Briton Phil Hanson and the Polish Robert Kubica, former F1 and rally driver. And it was the latter who had the privilege of crossing the finish line after 387 laps. Also on the podium, third, was the No. 51 499P of Giovinazzi-Pier Guidi-Calado. Fourth was the No.50 of Fuoco-Molina-Nielsen. Second was the Porsche Penske of Estre-Vanthoor-Campbell. Ferrari was close to a hat-trick until two hours from the end, when the No.6 Porsche snatched second place from it. This third consecutive victory for Ferrari - after the prestigious centenary win at Le Mans in 2023 and the 2024 edition - is a triumph that, at least in part, repays Maranello for its disappointments in F1. And it is yet another success signed by Antonello Coletta, team principal of Ferrari on covered wheels. It is also revenge on Kubica's bad luck. At the age of 40, he finally reaps those joys that fate took away from him when he looked like one of F1's most concrete promises. But on 6 February 2011 in a rally race his life changed forever.

The violent impact against a guardrail caused him very serious injuries to his right arm. It was only a few weeks before the start of the World Championship, which he was supposed to run with Renault. Instead, it is, in fact, the end of his career. Until the discovery of endurance racing. The success of Ferrari, motorsport's best-known brand, will also help consolidate the growing focus on the world championship. Abandoned by the big teams some fifteen years ago, long dominated by Toyota due to the absence of rivals, the WEC reinvented itself in 2021 by launching the 'Hypercars' category. Futuristic prototypes, but with a more accessible budget for the big constructors than the old LMP1s, and regulations - sometimes controversial - designed to promote spectacle: a "balance of performance" that allows the organisers to balance the performance of the cars, imposing weight and/or power handicaps on the fastest ones. The format was liked, so much so that this year there were 21 'Hypercars' at Le Mans, representing eight prestigious marques. This championship has also restored nobility to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, after editions that were at times not very competitive under the 'Toyota era'. Today, for the first time in history, the top four finishers were separated at the finish line by less than 30 seconds.

"Today is a great victory for Ferrari, for everyone who works there, for all its souls. Ferrari has won by working together, showing how unity leads to extraordinary results. Le Mans is a special moment for those who love motor racing, and what has been done has something heroic about it'. This is how Ferrari president John Elkann commented on his third win in a row at the Le Mans 24 Hours, winning the 93rd edition of the French endurance race with the number 83 499P. 'In the last three years, three different cars and nine drivers have shown what teamwork means. I thank everyone at Ferrari: winning Le Mans three times in a row is a historic achievement that makes us proud and honours our founder Enzo Ferrari," he added.
