League: no cap on deductions for investments in start-ups

No cap on deductible amounts for investments in start-ups and innovative SMEs. This is foreseen in an amendment to the manoeuvre by the League, first signed by Centemero, which will be presented tomorrow, 11 November, as reported by Ansa. The proposed amendment calls for adding to the exclusion of healthcare expenses from the calculation of the total amount of charges and expenses, also the sums for investments in deductible innovative start-ups and those for investments in deductible innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The door has not been completely closed in recent days by the Minister of the Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti, also thanks to rather critical hearings on several aspects of the Budget Law

Meanwhile from Svimez came an alarm. "Overall, in the three-year period 2025-2027, the resources earmarked for specific measures for southern Italy are expected to be reduced by €5.3 billion". This was stated by Svimez, the Association for the Development of Industry in Southern Italy, in the memorandum on the manoeuvre filed with the Chamber of Deputies. The document calculates the financial effects over the three-year period of the specific measures for the Mezzogiorno contained in the manoeuvre (repeal of decontribution for the South, Fund for interventions in the Mezzogiorno, tax credit Zes Unica and contribution relief for newly-hired Zes Unica): 1.78 billion less in 2025, -2.92 billion in 2026 and -625 million in 2026.
