Leapmotor B03X, everything you need to know
The electric B-suv from the Chinese brand of Stellantis is credited with over 400 km of range and will be able to be recharged on DC in 16 minutes from 30 to 50 per cent. It will go on sale in Europe by the end of 2026 and will be part of a growing range between the B10 and B05 priced at 25,000 euros.
Leapmotor will introduce the B03X its new urban SUV credited with a length of just under 4.30 metres at the end of 2026. It will slot into the Chinese brand's range between the B10 and B05. If the design is sober, but far from banal, despite being devoid of wow effects, the B03X is equipped, at least in the Chinese version, with a decidedly precious detail, namely the Lidar sensor for advanced Level 2 Adas. A technological component that, incidentally, is signed Qualcomm, both in terms of the chips and also the computing power required for the infotainment and control electronics of the Adas.
The battery is lithium-iron-phosphate capable, therefore, of guaranteeing a range of more than 400 km compared to the 500 km offered by the Chinese version, which has been downgraded once it has been homologated in Europe in the WLTP cycle. It will also be possible to recharge the B03X on direct current: 16 minutes will be enough to go from 30% to 50%. As for other measurements, in addition to the length, which, as mentioned, is close to 4.30 metres, a wheelbase of over 2.60 metres is planned. Already orderable in China at a price at the current yuan-dollar exchange rate that starts at just under $15,000, it will be on offer when it lands in the Old Continent in a very competitive and increasingly crowded B-vehicle segment with a price tag of around 25,000 euro. It will be one of six new products planned for the coming months by the very active Stellantis brand.
