There is a new tool for those seeking employment and it is the result of a joint initiative between the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies and INPS. It is called AppLI and it uses artificial intelligence to support Italian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 in their search for a new job, and not only that, as it provides a virtual assistant that uses natural language to follow the user step by step in order to guide him or her in the best way possible, while also providing the right tools to acquire the skills required by the market, reflect on one's aspirations in order to build a personal profile and even prepare him or her for a possible interview. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the platform is free of charge and accessible from the INPS Youth Portal through a browser using the SPID or Electronic Identity Card.
The first time you log in, you are asked to enter a code issued by your local Job Centre to obtain personal information, but if you do not have it, you can skip this step and proceed to the main user area, which offers a chatbot to talk to, just like a real career assistant, to create a curriculum vitae from scratch or upload an existing one, prepare a covering letter or receive support for changing jobs. The platform also offers a dedicated area for entering personal data where one can specify previous educational and work experience or skills possessed, as well as a section where one can explore possible job opportunities or training courses in which to participate, but which can only be consulted after completing the profile by specifying the desired profession. An interesting feature is the Self-Employment function, where it is possible to talk to the assistant to obtain explanations on how to start up a new business on one's own account, finding out about possible legal forms to choose from or funding available for those who decide to embark on such a career. For those who are about to have an interview, the Simulation Interviews area allows you to simulate an interview for a specific role or position, choosing whether to have a cognitive or technical interview in three different ways: receiving feedback after each answer, only at the end of the interview, or, soon, with the Studio option that shows the typical questions of a meeting and provides potential effective answers.
